Introduction

Plastic Shims are professional version of the "credit card" trick, used to quickly open day-latched (closed but not locked) doors and windows. Every single lock professional has at least one set of these shims.

By sliding into the gap between the door-frame and the door, the latch is pushed back, opening the door. Most doors can be shimmed in less than a minute; plastic shims are also very effective against hotel room doors.

The Sparrows Plastic Shims set contains 6 shims with two different thicknesses.
The cards themselves can be cut or resized depending on the required application.
